2023 In Review

As we come to the end of the year, I wanted to take some time to reflect on what 2023 meant for me and my photography. I feel like the best way to explain my year is with some stats!

My 2023:

  • Walked 1,500 miles

  • Slept in a tent for 78 nights

  • Took an image on 151 days

  • Snapped the camera shutter over 70,000(!) times

My biggest takeaway from looking at the data is that I spent a lot of time outside this year! Between local exploration in Colorado, the trips I took to national parks across the country, and my time in Vermont working in the Green Mountains, I saw and photographed a ton of beautiful places and animals. With this post, I want to share my ten favorite pictures from the year, in chronological order.

  1. Bobcat (South Platte River, CO)

2. Bison (Rocky Mountain Arsenal, CO)

3. American Dipper (Boulder Creek, CO)

4. Mule Deer (Mount Sanitas, CO)

5. Turret Arch (Arches National Park, UT)

6. Red Fox (Grand Teton National Park, WY)

7. Barred Owl (Shelburne, VT)

8. Mount Madonna (Stowe, VT)

9. Dunlin (Acadia National Park, ME)

10. Anhinga (Everglades National Park, FL)

Thanks for reading, I appreciate everyone who follows my work! I have a lot of exciting things coming up in 2024, starting with a trip out west to Yellowstone in search of wolves!
